The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1121) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-produced vinyl collectible released by Funko in 2021, and its value is generally determined by its condition and whether it remains sealed in its original box.
The value of a 2021 Funko Pop! Movies #1121 Sam figure varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard production item from a major manufacturer, it typically trades for a modest amount, generally ranging from $5 to $15 in the secondary market. Prices for sealed, mint-condition boxes may be slightly higher, while loose figures or those with packaging damage will command lower prices.
To authenticate your 2021 Sam Pop! (SKU 1121), first verify that the box is sealed with the correct Funko branding and that the figure’s paint application is clean without significant bleeding or misalignment. Check the bottom of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the year 2021, as genuine Funko products from this era typically include these markings. While specific SKU numbers are not usually printed on the vinyl figure itself, the presence of a proper UPC on the packaging and consistent quality control compared to known authentic examples are the primary indicators of authenticity.
The Sam Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Sam Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1121), so it is no longer in print. You will not be able to purchase this item new from Funko or major retail partners, and it is now only available through the secondary market.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by checking for common defects like paint chips, scratches, and seam lines. Examine the figure under bright light to ensure the eyes are aligned and the paint is intact, as these details significantly impact value. For the specific 2021 release, verify that the box is unopened if you are evaluating it as a sealed item, since opening the packaging typically reduces its collectible value.
