No, this figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's 2020 release of *The Nightmare Before Christmas* Pop! Movies line, meaning it was widely distributed and is generally easy to find in new condition.
The retail value of the Sam (With Pumpkin And Sack) Pop! Movies figure is typically around $12.00, which is the standard price for most standard-sized Funko Pop! vinyls. As a common 2020 release, its market value generally remains near or slightly below retail price, with used copies often selling for less than $10.00 depending on condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Movies Sam (With Pumpkin And Sack), verify that the figure is approximately 3.75 inches tall and that the packaging features the official Funko logo and a barcode matching SKU 1002. Check for consistent paint application, clean seams, and the correct copyright date on the base, as 2020 releases typically carry a 2019 or 2020 copyright mark. If the figure feels unusually light, has rough edges, or the box lacks standard Funko branding, it may be a counterfeit, and you should compare it against high-resolution images of verified authentic units.
The Sam (With Pumpkin And Sack) Pop! Movies was released in 2020 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time print run status, so it is not possible to definitively confirm if this specific item is currently in production. However, because it is a 2020 release, it is likely no longer sold as a new item in major retail stores and is primarily available through the secondary market.
To condition-check this figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and signs of yellowing, paying close attention to the pumpkin and sack accessories which are prone to wear. Verify that the head is properly seated on the body without excessive wobble and that the eyes are aligned. Since this is a standard 2020 release, it is not typically sent to third-party grading services like PSA or Beckett, so value is determined by the presence of the original box and the figure's unopened or lightly used state.
