Common questions about the Samwell Tarly Pop! Game of Thrones from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Samwell Tarly Pop! from Game of Thrones is not considered rare, as it was part of the standard mass-production wave released by Funko. These figures were widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, making them common collectibles rather than limited-edition items.
The value of a Samwell Tarly Pop! Figure from Game of Thrones varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is sealed in the box, and current market demand. As a standard, non-exclusive figure, it typically sells for a modest price in the secondary market, often ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 for a loose figure in good condition. Sealed boxes generally command a higher price, but specific pricing fluctuates, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
Funko Pop! figures do not have a universal serial number system for individual authentication, so verifying authenticity relies on inspecting physical quality indicators. Look for sharp, clean paint application, proper seam alignment, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, uneven molding, or missing details. If the figure was purchased from an authorized retailer like the Funko Store, major online marketplaces, or established toy shops, it is highly likely to be genuine. For high-value items, you can cross-reference the box art and SKU 27 with official Funko product listings to ensure the packaging matches the current production standard.
The Samwell Tarly Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 27) was released in 2015 as part of the initial wave of Funko's Game of Thrones collection. This figure was produced to coincide with the premiere of the show's fifth season.
Funko has discontinued the production of the Samwell Tarly Pop! Figure (SKU 27) from the Game of Thrones line. As a result, this item is no longer available to buy new directly from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors seeking a new copy must rely on third-party resellers, where prices are typically significantly higher than the original retail value.
Grading a Funko Pop! figure like the Samwell Tarly #27 involves inspecting the vinyl for surface imperfections such as mold lines, scratches, or paint flaws, and checking the box for structural damage like crushed corners or lid misalignment. Because Funko Pops are mass-produced and not officially graded by major third-party services like PSA for standard retail releases, their value is primarily determined by their condition relative to the original packaging. If the figure is loose and the box is damaged, it is typically valued significantly lower than a sealed, mint-condition item.
