Common questions about the Santa Claus Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Santa Claus Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production release for the 2023 holiday season. Like most standard Funko Pop! items, it was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces during its release window. While specific sealed boxes may command a premium if found today, the figure itself is a common collectible with high production numbers.
The standard retail value for a new, sealed Funko Pop! Santa Claus (SKU 1262) is typically between $12.99 and $15.99. As a common mass-produced figure, its market value generally does not exceed the retail price unless it is part of a complete set or has a specific manufacturing defect. Prices for used or open-box copies are usually lower, often ranging from $5 to $10 depending on condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Santa Claus (SKU 1262), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and that the vinyl figure itself has the "Funko" branding molded into the base. Check for consistent paint application, sharp facial features, and the correct proportions, as counterfeit figures often exhibit blurry details, misaligned eyes, or heavy paint overspray. While there is no single universal hologram for all Funko Pops, you can cross-reference the specific SKU and year on the packaging against Funko’s official product listings to ensure the release details match. If the figure feels unusually light, has a rough texture, or the box lacks standard manufacturing information, it is likely a replica.
The Santa Claus Pop! Movies was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko has not publicly announced the discontinuation of the Santa Claus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1262), and it remains listed as an active item on the official Funko website. Consequently, it is generally considered to be in print and available for purchase new through authorized retailers and Funko's own online store.
To grade a Santa Claus Pop! Movies figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on factors like paint application, molding quality, and packaging condition. For a self-assessment, inspect the figure under bright light for paint chips, seam lines, or scuffs, and verify that the box is free of significant damage, fading, or creases. Keep in mind that the value of the item is heavily dependent on its original packaging, so a loose figure will grade significantly lower than a sealed one.
