The Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released by Funko in 2023 as part of their ongoing movie series. Because it was produced in large quantities for general retail distribution, it is widely available and not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487) is a 2023 release, and its value depends heavily on whether the figure is in its original sealed box or loose. As a relatively recent release, the retail price is the primary baseline, with sealed copies typically trading at or slightly above that price point. Loose figures generally hold less value due to the risk of damage or missing parts. For a precise current market value, checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or StockX is recommended, as prices fluctuate based on collector demand.
To authenticate your Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487), first inspect the box for the official Funko logo, the "Pop! Movies" series branding, and a scannable barcode that matches the SKU. Examine the vinyl figure for sharp, clean edges and a glossy finish, as counterfeit versions often feature rough seams or dull paint. Verify that the base is flat and the figure stands securely, and check that the Sauron design matches the 2023 release specifications. If the packaging or figure shows signs of wear, inconsistent printing, or missing security features, consider sending it to a professional authentication service for a definitive verdict.
