The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487) is not considered rare; it is a standard edition figure released in 2023 as part of the mainstream Movies line. It was widely distributed through major retailers and Funko’s own channels, making it relatively easy to find in new or used condition.
The 2023 Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487) is a standard production figure that typically retails for approximately $12.00. In the secondary market, its value generally hovers between $10 and $15, depending on condition and whether it is still sealed in its original box. As a common release from a major franchise, it does not command a significant premium over its retail price unless it is part of a complete set or has a specific variant.
To authenticate your Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487), first verify the box seal is intact and check that the printed SKU on the box matches the official listing for the 2023 release. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp edges, and the correct Funko logo on the base. Cross-reference the box art and character details against the official Funko product page, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or incorrect proportions. If the packaging or figure shows signs of tampering or poor quality control, compare it with a known authentic example to confirm authenticity.

The Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487) is generally considered out of print, as Funko typically discontinues movie tie-in figures after a limited production run. While it is no longer sold as a new item on Funko's official website, it remains widely available from third-party retailers and secondary markets.
To condition-check a Sauron Pop! Movies figure, first inspect the vinyl surface for cracks, chips, or paint defects, paying close attention to the glowing eyes and the One Ring detail. Verify that the figure is securely attached to its base and that the packaging is intact if you plan to submit it for professional grading. For formal grading, send the item to a major third-party service like PSA or CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on factors like paint quality, molding precision, and overall completeness.
