No, the Sauron Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2023 as part of the regular Funko Pop! Movies line, meaning it was widely available through major retailers and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The retail value of the Sauron Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1487) is typically around $12.99, though prices can fluctuate based on retailer availability. As a standard 2023 release, its secondary market value generally remains close to retail price unless the figure is sold in a sealed box or features a special variant. Exact current market value depends on condition and local demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate estimate.
To authenticate your Sauron Pop! Movies (SKU 1487), first verify that the box features a holographic Funko sticker and that the figure itself has a smooth, consistent paint job without visible brush marks or air bubbles. Check that the plastic is solid and uniform in color, and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and not cloudy. If the packaging appears damaged, the seal is broken, or the figure feels lightweight and hollow, it is likely a counterfeit, and you should compare it directly against high-resolution images of the official 2023 release.
