Common questions about the Scar (with Flames) Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Scar (with Flames) Pop! Disney (SKU 544) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the Disney Villains series that was widely distributed and is currently available for purchase at retail and secondary market prices.
The value of a Funko Pop! Disney Scar (with Flames) #544 fluctuates based on market demand and condition, but it typically trades for approximately $10 to $15 in retail condition. Prices for sealed boxes are generally higher, often ranging from $15 to $20, while opened figures with damage or missing parts will sell for significantly less. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate a Funko Pop! figure, first verify that the packaging is intact and features the official Funko logo, a barcode, and the correct SKU number (544) on the box. Examine the figure itself for high-quality paint application, clear eyes, and a solid, uncracked vinyl base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy painting, clouded eyes, or lightweight, brittle plastic. You can also cross-reference the figure's specific design details, such as the flame effect and pose, against official Funko product images to ensure accuracy.
Funko does not publish specific release dates for individual Pop! figures in their official records, so the exact launch date for the Scar (with Flames) figure is not reliably documented. While this variant is associated with the 2019 *The Lion King* release window, precise availability dates for specific SKU numbers are not tracked in standard public databases.
Funko Pop! Disney #544, Scar (with Flames), is currently out of print and is no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. This specific variant was part of a limited production run, meaning new stock is no longer being manufactured. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or other resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! vinyl figures, so you cannot obtain a certified grade for this item. To condition-check the figure, inspect it under bright light for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, chipped plastic, or discoloration on the flame elements. Verify that the eyes are intact and properly aligned, and check the base for any warping or cracks that might affect stability.
