Common questions about the Scout Trooper from Sideshow Collectibles (2015).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Sideshow Collectibles typically produces limited edition figures with production runs ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 units, which classifies the 2015 Scout Trooper as a limited edition item rather than a mass-produced product. While it is not considered ultra-rare compared to exclusive or small-batch variants, its finite production run means that new-in-box examples are increasingly difficult to find in the secondary market.
The Scout Trooper originally retailed for $189.99. Live secondary-market data isn't indexed yet — check eBay sold listings for current value.
Sideshow Collectibles does not manufacture a product specifically identified as a "Scout Trooper" from 2015, as their Star Wars line typically features characters like Boba Fett, Darth Vader, or specific Imperial officers rather than generic stormtrooper variants. It is highly likely that this item is a misidentified product, a third-party reproduction, or a figure from a different manufacturer such as Hasbro or Hot Toys. To authenticate the item, you should examine the packaging for Sideshow's specific logo, product number, and copyright notices, and compare the sculpting details and paint application against official Sideshow reference images for that year. If the item lacks these specific Sideshow identifiers, it is not an authentic Sideshow product.
The Scout Trooper was released in 2015 by Sideshow Collectibles.
The Sideshow Collectibles Scout Trooper released in 2015 is a discontinued product and is no longer in print. It is not available to purchase new from the manufacturer and can only be found on the secondary market through third-party resellers.
Sideshow Collectibles does not issue official grading certificates for its 1/6th scale figures, so there is no standardized industry grade for this item. To assess condition, you should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfer on the uniform, hairline cracks in the plastic, and wear on the fabric accessories. Additionally, check the articulation points for looseness and verify that the included accessories, such as the blaster and gear, are free from chipping or discoloration.
