Common questions about the Serpentor Pop! Retro Toys from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Serpentor Pop! Retro Toys figure is not considered rare, as it was a standard production item released by Funko in 2022. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels during its release window, meaning it does not carry the scarcity of limited edition or exclusive variants.
The value of a Funko Pop! Serpentor (Retro Toys, SKU 107) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it generally trades between $10 and $25 for a sealed figure in 2024. As a common release from 2022, it does not command a premium price over its original retail value, and prices may dip lower if the item is unsealed or has minor defects. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it, but you can check for common signs of counterfeits such as poor paint application, misaligned seams, and blurry or low-resolution printing on the box. Genuine Funko Pop! figures typically have a smooth, matte finish and a secure, well-fitted lid, whereas fakes often feel lighter and have visible gaps. For a definitive authentication, you should consult a professional appraiser or use a reputable third-party grading service.
The Serpentor Pop! Retro Toys was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Serpentor Pop! Retro Toys line, and the specific SKU 107 is no longer in print. Consequently, this figure is not available to purchase new from official Funko retailers or the Funko website. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or other reseller platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Serpentor Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for scratches, paint chips, and seam lines, as well as verifying that the head is properly aligned and not loose. You should also examine the box for shelf wear, creases, and the presence of the original shrink wrap, which significantly impacts the item's value. While third-party grading services like PSA can authenticate and grade the figure, most collectors simply assess the condition visually based on the presence of these common defects.
