The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Shadow with Chao Pop! Games figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released by Funko in 2017. While specific production numbers for this SKU are not publicly disclosed, the item is generally available on the secondary market and does not carry the scarcity profile of limited-edition exclusives.
The Shadow with Chao Pop! Games figure (SKU 288) is a common 2017 release that typically sells for $5 to $15 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Because it is a standard production item from a popular series, it does not command a premium price, and values fluctuate based on current local stock and demand.
To authenticate your Shadow with Chao Pop! Games figure, first verify that the packaging is intact and displays the correct SKU 288 along with the 2017 release date. Inspect the vinyl for consistent molding, sharp paint lines, and the official Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or uneven seams. If the figure is in its original box, check for the holographic Funko seal and ensure the box art matches official 2017 release materials.
The Shadow with Chao Pop! Games was released in 2017 by Funko.
The Shadow with Chao Pop! Games figure is no longer in print and is considered out of production. While it may occasionally appear on the secondary market through resellers, it is not available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners.
To grade a Shadow with Chao Pop! Games, you should submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the condition of the vinyl, paint, and box. For a self-assessment, inspect the figure under bright light for common defects like paint chips, seam lines, or scratches, and verify that the box is free from significant damage, fading, or wear. Keep in mind that Pop! figures are generally not graded by major services for the figure alone without the box, and the presence of the Chao accessory is a key component of this specific variant's value.
