No, the Shark Eating Boat Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2021 release wave of the *Sharknado* series, and these figures were widely distributed through major retail channels. While specific variants like chases or limited editions may be harder to find, the standard SKU 1145 is a common collectible.
The Shark Eating Boat Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1145) is a standard retail item that typically sells for between $10 and $15 when new in box. Because it is a common release from 2021, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market, and used copies generally sell for less than the original retail price.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Movies Shark Eating Boat figure, first verify that the box is sealed with the correct 2021 release date and displays the specific SKU 1145. Inspect the vinyl for sharp, clean edges and a uniform matte finish, as counterfeit figures often exhibit rough seams, paint bleed, or a glossy sheen. Check the base for a crisp, legible logo and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and not cloudy. If the packaging and physical quality appear consistent with official Funko standards, the item is likely authentic, though a definitive verification would require a professional appraisal.
The Shark Eating Boat Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Shark Eating Boat Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. While it may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, these listings typically represent used inventory or third-party resellers rather than new stock.
To condition-check a Shark Eating Boat Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl for any scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the mouth and boat details where wear is common. Verify that the figure is securely seated within its original window box and that the packaging is free from significant creases, tears, or water damage, as these factors significantly impact collectible value. While professional grading services like PSA can provide a standardized condition score, most collectors assess these items based on the integrity of the box and the visual quality of the figure itself.
