Common questions about the Shere Khan Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Shere Khan Pop! Disney (SKU 445) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the Disney collection that was widely distributed through major retailers and is currently available for purchase on the secondary market.
The value of a Funko Pop! Shere Khan (SKU 445) varies significantly based on condition, packaging, and current market demand, with retail prices typically ranging from $10 to $15 for new items. Used copies generally sell for less, often between $5 and $10, depending on the state of the box and figure. For the most accurate and up-to-date valuation, checking recent completed sales on secondary markets like eBay is recommended, as prices fluctuate based on collector interest and availability.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Shere Khan (SKU 445), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the plastic figure is smooth, glossy, and free of rough seams or paint bleed. Check the bottom of the figure for a molded "Funko" logo and ensure the eyes are correctly aligned and proportioned, as counterfeit versions often feature misaligned or poorly painted facial details. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box with official Funko product listings to confirm the item matches the standard release specifications for that specific character.
The specific release date for the Shere Khan Pop! Disney figure (SKU 445) is not reliably documented in standard public records. While Funko releases figures in waves throughout the year, precise launch dates for individual SKUs are often not tracked or published by the manufacturer.
Funko Pop! figures are generally kept in print for extended periods, and the Shere Khan (SKU 445) is not listed as a discontinued item on Funko's official website. It remains available for purchase directly from Funko and through major retail partners, though specific stock levels may vary by location.
There is no official grading service for Funko Pops, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or scratches. Check the box for any damage, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value, and note that the figure should be securely attached to the internal plastic peg. If the figure is loose or the box is damaged, the item is generally considered to be in less-than-mint condition.
