Common questions about the Shorty Pop! Movies from Funko (2020).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Shorty Pop! Movies series is not considered rare. These figures were produced in large quantities by Funko and are widely available in the secondary market, typically selling for prices at or below their original retail value.
The value of a 2020 Funko Shorty Pop! Movies figure with SKU 932 depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a general rule, unopened figures from this era typically sell for between $15 and $30, while opened figures usually fetch significantly less, often in the range of $5 to $10. Because specific movie titles and character variants can influence demand, checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine the current market price for this specific item.
To authenticate your Shorty Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the box displays the correct SKU 932 and 2020 release date. Examine the vinyl for consistent color matching, sharp molding details, and the presence of the embossed "Funko" logo on the base, as poor paint application or misaligned eyes are common indicators of counterfeits. If the figure lacks these quality markers or the packaging appears tampered with, it is likely a replica, and you should consult a professional authentication service for a definitive assessment.
The Shorty Pop! Movies was released in 2020 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Shorty Pop! Movies line, so these figures are no longer in print. You will not be able to purchase a new, sealed copy directly from Funko or major retailers. The only way to acquire this item now is through the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized collectible shops, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Shorty Pop! figures, so value is determined by the condition of the vinyl and the packaging. For the figure itself, inspect for common defects such as paint chips, seam lines, or warping, and verify that the eyes and mouth are properly aligned. If the figure is in its box, check for shelf wear, box damage, and whether the original shrink wrap is intact, as unopened boxes command significantly higher prices.
