Common questions about the Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's widely distributed Pop! Hockey line, and it is frequently available for purchase through major retailers and online marketplaces.
The value of a Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey figure varies significantly based on its condition, packaging, and specific variant, with standard unopened figures typically trading in the range of $10 to $25. Limited edition or special color variants can command higher prices, often exceeding $50, while open figures generally have lower resale value. For the most accurate current market valuation, it is recommended to check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay.
To authenticate your Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself features the standard Pop! vinyl texture and paint quality. Check the base of the figure for the correct copyright date and the "Funko" logo, as counterfeits often have blurry printing or incorrect font styles. You can also compare the specific proportions and facial details against official Funko product images, noting that genuine items typically have a smooth, consistent finish without excess glue or sharp seams. If the packaging or figure feels significantly off in weight or texture, it is advisable to consult a professional authentication service for a definitive assessment.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey figure with SKU 31. Funko does not consistently publish exact release dates for individual SKU numbers in their public records, and third-party tracking data for this specific item is not definitively available.
The Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 31) is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a retired item, it is generally only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices can vary significantly based on condition and demand.
To grade a Sidney Crosby Pop! Hockey, you should inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, and signs of wear, while also checking the box for creases, tears, or fading. If you require a professional certification for resale value, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical grade based on its condition. For a casual check, compare the item against high-resolution images of a pristine copy to identify any visible defects.
