Common questions about the Slim Blacklight Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Funko Slim Blacklight Pop! Movies series is not considered rare, as it is a standard mass-produced line released in 2023. These figures are widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, meaning they do not possess the limited production numbers or scarcity that typically define rare collectibles.
The value of the 2023 Funko Slim Blacklight Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1384) is highly dependent on the specific movie character depicted, as this SKU number typically refers to a series identifier rather than a single unique item. In general condition, these figures typically retail between $10 and $15, while sealed copies in high demand may command a slight premium on secondary markets. Without the specific character name, it is not possible to provide a precise market valuation.
To authenticate a 2023 Funko Slim Blacklight Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging includes the official Funko logo and the specific SKU number 1384 printed on the box. Examine the vinyl for consistent paint application and sharp sculpting, as counterfeit figures often exhibit sloppy molding or misaligned eyes. Additionally, the blacklight effect should be uniform across the designated areas without bleeding into non-glowing sections, and the figure should feel solid and well-proportioned compared to standard retail examples.
The Slim Blacklight Pop! Movies was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Slim Blacklight line, so these figures are generally considered to be in print. However, specific movie titles within this series often have limited production runs and may be out of stock at major retailers. You can check current availability on the official Funko website or authorized retailers like Target and Walmart, though popular titles may require purchasing from third-party marketplaces if they are no longer stocked in stores.
Grading a Slim Blacklight Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and mold lines, while also verifying that the blacklight reactive paint is intact and evenly applied. You should check the base for any scuffs or discoloration and ensure the figure is securely seated without gaps. Since these figures are typically sold in standard packaging, the condition of the box, including corner crushes and seal integrity, is also a critical factor in determining overall value.
