No, the Snoop Dogg (Basketball) Pop! Rocks is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2022 as part of their Pop! Rocks line, and it was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. While specific color variants or limited production runs can sometimes command higher prices, the standard version of this figure is generally accessible to collectors.
The Snoop Dogg (Basketball) Pop! Rocks (SKU 305) is a standard retail Funko product that typically sells for its original retail price of $12.99 when new in box. Because it is a common mass-produced item without exclusive features like glow-in-the-dark or metallic variants, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market. Its value is generally limited to its face value for casual collectors.
I cannot provide a definitive authentication for your specific item without a physical inspection, as counterfeit Funko Pops are common. To verify authenticity, check that the box is sealed with a clear plastic shrink wrap that has a distinct Funko logo, and ensure the figure itself has a smooth, uniform finish without visible seams or paint overspray. You can also cross-reference the SKU 305 and the 2022 release date against Funko’s official catalog to confirm the product’s existence, but note that these details alone do not guarantee the physical item is genuine.
The Snoop Dogg (Basketball) Pop! Rocks was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Rocks are a limited-edition series that is no longer in production, making the Snoop Dogg (Basketball) figure a discontinued item. Consequently, it is not available to buy new from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this specific SKU must look for used copies on the secondary market, where availability and pricing fluctuate based on condition.
To condition-check a Snoop Dogg (Basketball) Pop! Rocks, first inspect the figure for any visible defects such as paint chips, scratches, or misaligned parts, paying close attention to the basketball accessory and the character's face. Verify that the figure is securely seated within the clear display window and that the window itself is free of cracks, scratches, or clouding. Ensure the original packaging is intact, with no significant creases, tears, or fading on the box, as these factors significantly impact the item's value. If you require a formal grade for resale purposes, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service, though many collectors simply assess the condition visually using these standard criteria.
