Common questions about the Sonic with Emerald Pop! Games from Funko (2017).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Sonic with Emerald Pop! Games (SKU 284) is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2017 as part of their regular Sonic the Hedgehog line, meaning it was widely distributed and is not a limited edition or special variant.
There is no single fixed market value for a 2017 Funko Sonic with Emerald Pop! Games figure, as prices fluctuate based on condition and whether the item is sealed or loose. Generally, these standard figures trade in the low single-digit dollar range, often between $5 and $15, depending on current local demand and availability.
There is no record of a Funko Pop! Games item with SKU 284 featuring Sonic the Hedgehog with an Emerald. Funko SKU 284 corresponds to a different character, and the "Pop! Games" line typically features licensed video game characters rather than Sonic, who is usually produced under the "Pop! Animation" or "Pop! Video Games" lines. Because the specific item description does not match known Funko production records, it is likely a misidentified item, a third-party reproduction, or a custom modification. To authenticate a genuine Funko, you should verify the SKU on the box against Funko's official catalog and check for a holographic sticker on the packaging.
The Sonic with Emerald Pop! Games was released in 2017 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Sonic with Emerald Pop! Games figure (SKU 284), so it is no longer in print or available to buy new directly from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this specific item must look for used copies on the secondary market, such as eBay or other resale platforms.
To grade a Funko Pop! figure, you should submit it to a recognized third-party grading service such as PSA, which will evaluate the item's condition on a 10-point scale. For a quick self-assessment, inspect the figure for common defects like paint chips, seam lines, or scratches, and verify that the box is free of major damage. Keep in mind that the 2017 Sonic with Emerald variant is a standard production item, so its value is primarily driven by its condition and the integrity of its original packaging.
