Common questions about the Sonic with Ring Pop! Games from Funko (2017).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Sonic with Ring Pop! Games figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-produced line released by Funko in 2017. These items were widely distributed through major retailers and remain commonly available on the secondary market.
The Sonic with Ring Pop! Games Funko Pop (SKU 283) is a common 2017 release that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Because this figure was part of a large, widely distributed production run, it does not carry a significant premium over its original retail price, and values generally remain stable or decrease slightly over time.
To authenticate your 2017 Funko Pop! Games Sonic with Ring (SKU 283), verify that the box displays the official Funko logo, the Pop! Games branding, and the correct SKU number 283 on the side or back. Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a secure base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, uneven seams, or cheap plastic. If the packaging includes a holographic sticker or specific game-related inserts consistent with the 2017 release, this further supports its authenticity, though Funko does not provide individual certificates of authenticity for standard retail figures.
The Sonic with Ring Pop! Games was released in 2017 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Games items, including the Sonic with Ring figure, are generally produced in limited runs and are no longer in print. While new stock is typically unavailable directly from Funko, these items may occasionally appear on the secondary market through resellers, often at prices significantly higher than the original retail value.
Pop! Games figures are generally not graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA, as these companies typically do not accept standard vinyl collectibles for grading. To assess the condition of your Sonic with Ring figure, you should visually inspect it for common defects such as mold lines, paint overspray, or missing accessories like the ring. If you require a professional opinion, you can consult with a local comic book store or a specialized collectibles dealer who can evaluate the item's physical state based on its original packaging and figure integrity.
