No, the Sorcerer Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 799) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from Funko's mainline Disney collection that was widely distributed to major retailers and sold through the company's official channels. While specific color variants or limited edition runs may be harder to find, the standard version remains a common item in the secondary market.
The value of a Funko Sorcerer Mickey Pop! (SKU 799) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it remains in the original sealed box. Generally, unopened figures from this line typically trade in the secondary market for between $15 and $30, while opened figures are worth considerably less, often under $10. Prices can fluctuate based on current collector demand and the specific condition of the packaging, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate real-time valuation.
To authenticate your Sorcerer Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 799), first verify that the box is sealed with a tamper-evident sticker and that the product number on the box matches the number printed on the figure's base. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a solid, uniform plastic feel, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy paint, rough edges, or a lighter, more brittle plastic. Additionally, check that the Funko logo on the base is crisp and legible, and compare the figure's proportions and color accuracy against official images from Funko's website or reputable retail listings.
The Sorcerer Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 799) was released in 2016 as part of the initial wave of the Disney Pop! line. This figure is a standard 3.75-inch vinyl collectible produced by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Sorcerer Mickey Pop! Vinyl figure (SKU 799), meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. This item is currently only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are often significantly higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized professional grading service for Funko Pops, so condition is typically assessed by the seller or buyer using informal descriptors like "Mint," "Near Mint," or "Lightly Played." To check the condition, inspect the figure for common defects such as paint chips, scratches, or mold lines, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. For high-value items, some collectors use third-party authentication services like PSA to verify authenticity, though this does not provide a numerical grade for the figure's physical state.
