No, the Spartan Mark VII with VK78 Pop! is not considered rare. The Spartan Mark VII with VK78 Pop! Halo is a standard retail Funko Pop! figure that typically sells for between $10 and $15 in new condition. As a common release from the 2020 Halo line, it does not command a premium over its original retail price, and its value is largely tied to its availability in new-in-box condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Spartan Mark VII with VK78, verify that the packaging includes the official Funko logo, a holographic seal, and a barcode that matches the product details for SKU 14. The figure itself should have a smooth, consistent vinyl finish with sharp paint lines on the armor and weapon, free from the rough seams or "flash" often found on counterfeits. Additionally, check the base for a clean, molded Funko logo and ensure the proportions of the head and body align with the standard Funko Pop! design. If the item lacks these specific manufacturing details or the packaging appears low-quality, it is likely a replica.

To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint defects, and verify that the figure is securely seated within the box without excessive movement. Check the box itself for dings, creases, or tape residue, as these factors significantly impact the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though this is rarely done for standard retail Funko Pops due to the cost relative to the item's market value.
