The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Star Butterfly Pop! Disney figure (SKU 501) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the Disney Pop! line that was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific color variants or exclusive releases may have lower production numbers, the standard version of this character is a common collectible.
The value of a Funko Pop! Star Butterfly (SKU 501) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened retail boxes typically trading between $15 and $25. Opened figures generally have lower resale value, often ranging from $5 to $10, while rare variants or limited editions may command higher prices. For the most accurate current valuation, it is best to check recent sold listings on platforms like eBay.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Star Butterfly (SKU 501), first verify that the box is sealed with the official holographic sticker and that the figure itself has a smooth, consistent paint finish without visible seams or air bubbles. Check the base for the correct copyright date and the "Funko" logo, and ensure the plastic has the characteristic slight translucency and weight of authentic production. If the packaging appears tampered with, the figure feels unusually light, or the paint is chipped, it is likely a counterfeit, and you should compare it against high-resolution images from Funko's official website or a reputable retailer.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific release dates for individual Pop! figures, so there is no confirmed launch date for the Star Butterfly Disney Pop! (SKU 501). While this figure is part of the Disney Princess line, exact release timelines are not officially documented by the manufacturer.
The Star Butterfly Pop! Disney figure (SKU 501) is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. It is currently a discontinued item, meaning new stock is no longer being produced, and availability is limited to the secondary market where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To condition-check a Star Butterfly Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold seams, paying close attention to the hair, wings, and facial features where damage is most visible. Verify that the figure is securely seated in the window box and that the box itself is free from significant creases, tears, or water damage, as these factors impact collectible value. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on standardized criteria for mint condition.
