Common questions about the Steve and Demodog Pop! Television from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Steve and Demodog Pop! Television is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production release from 2018 and was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While its value may fluctuate based on condition and market demand, it is a common collectible item rather than a limited edition or discontinued scarcity.
The value of the Steve and Demodog Pop! Television (SKU 728) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened factory-sealed boxes typically commanding a premium over loose figures. As a standard 2018 release from the Stranger Things line, it is a common item that generally trades for modest amounts, often ranging from $10 to $25 for a sealed box in the current secondary market. Prices for loose figures are lower, and specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions would be valued higher than the standard retail version.
To authenticate your Steve and Demodog Pop! Television (SKU 728), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the product number on the box matches the number printed on the base of the figure. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper seam lines, and the correct sculpt details of both characters, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. While there is no single definitive test for every item, cross-referencing the physical attributes against high-resolution images of a verified 2018 release is the most reliable method for a casual buyer.

The Steve and Demodog Pop! Television figure is no longer in print and is not available to buy new directly from Funko. As a 2018 release, it is considered out of production, meaning new stock is no longer being manufactured or distributed by the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Steve and Demodog Pop! Television involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint transfer, which is frequent on this item due to the close proximity of the characters. You should also examine the plastic for any mold seams, flashing, or stress cracks, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of smudges. While third-party grading services like Beckett or PSA can provide a standardized condition score, most collectors simply assess the item visually under bright light to ensure it is free of significant flaws.
