No, the Steve with Handy Dandy Notebook Pop! Television is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2022 release wave for the series, and these items were widely distributed through major retail channels. While specific color variants or exclusive versions might be harder to find, the standard SKU 1281 figure remains a common collectible.
The Steve with Handy Dandy Notebook Pop! Television (SKU 1281) is a standard retail release from 2022, and its value is primarily determined by whether it is new in box or loose. As a common item from a popular series, it typically sells for a modest price, often below its original retail value, with specific market prices fluctuating based on current demand and condition.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Television Steve with Handy Dandy Notebook, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the SKU 1281 is clearly printed on the packaging. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct "Television" branding on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry text or uneven coloring. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer like the Funko Shop, Amazon, or Target, it is highly likely to be genuine, but you can also compare the specific mold lines and packaging design against images from the official Funko website to confirm authenticity.
The Steve with Handy Dandy Notebook Pop! Television was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Television figures are typically produced in limited runs and are generally considered out of print once their initial release window has passed. As of 2024, the Steve with Handy Dandy Notebook Pop! (SKU 1281) is no longer available for purchase new from Funko's official channels or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this specific figure must look to the secondary market, where prices are often significantly higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Funko Pop! Television figure, you should first inspect the vinyl for common defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or chipped edges, and verify that the included accessory, the Handy Dandy Notebook, is intact and free of damage. Unlike trading cards, Funko Pops are not typically submitted to major third-party grading services like PSA or BGS for a sealed slab, so value is determined by the condition of the figure and its original packaging. If the box is present, check for crushing, fading, or sticker damage, as a complete, unopened box in mint condition commands a significantly higher price than a loose figure.
