Common questions about the Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey from Funko (2016).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2016 NHL licensing wave, and because it was widely distributed through major retail channels, it remains common and easily accessible on the secondary market.
The value of a Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey figure from 2016 varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard, non-exclusive production item, it typically sells for a modest price in the secondary market, generally ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 for loose figures, with sealed boxes commanding a slightly higher premium. Exact current pricing fluctuates with market demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its specific worth today.
There is no reliable public record of a Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey figure released by Funko in 2016 with SKU 08, as this specific combination of player, sport, year, and identifier does not match known Funko production catalogs. Because the item described does not appear to be a standard, verifiable release, you should treat it with high skepticism and assume it is likely a counterfeit or a misidentified product. To authenticate any Funko item, you should verify the SKU against Funko's official website or reputable collector databases, but in this case, the lack of a matching official release is the primary indicator of inauthenticity.
The Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey was released in 2016 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the 2016 Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey figure, so it is no longer in print. You will not be able to purchase a new, sealed copy from official retail channels. The item is now only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
To condition-check a Steven Stamkos Pop! Hockey, inspect the vinyl surface for any cracks, chips, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the helmet, stick, and face. Verify that the figure is seated correctly on its base and that the eyes are properly aligned and free of smudges. While third-party grading services like Beckett exist for Funko Pops, they are rarely used for standard figures due to the low cost of the item relative to the grading fee, so most collectors rely on visual inspection and high-resolution photos for condition assessment.
