The Stormtrooper Commander from set 75531 is not considered rare, as it was a standard retail release available in large quantities in 2017. Because it was widely distributed and not a limited edition, the figure is readily available on the secondary market. Its value is generally determined by the condition of the minifigure and the completeness of the set rather than scarcity.
The Stormtrooper Commander originally retailed for $24.99. Live secondary-market data isn't indexed yet — check eBay sold listings for current value.
To authenticate your LEGO set 75531, verify that the box and minifigure are marked with the year 2017, as this set was released that year. Check the minifigure's mold for the specific "72" date code on the back of the torso, which corresponds to 2017, and ensure the packaging features the correct LEGO logo and product number. If the item is a loose minifigure without the box, the presence of the correct date code and the specific commander helmet design are the primary indicators of authenticity.
The Stormtrooper Commander was released in 2017 by Lego.
The LEGO set 75531, which features the Stormtrooper Commander, is discontinued and no longer in print. It is no longer available to buy new directly from LEGO, so collectors must look for the set on the secondary market.
For LEGO minifigures like the Stormtrooper Commander from set 75531, grading is typically done by assessing the condition of the plastic parts, specifically looking for yellowing, hairline cracks, and the integrity of the printed details on the helmet and torso. You should also verify that the accessories, such as the blaster and shield, are present and free from significant wear. While professional grading services like PSA exist for minifigures, most collectors perform a visual inspection under good lighting to check for these common defects before assigning a condition grade.
