Sideshow Collectibles did not release a product specifically titled "Stormtrooper Commander" in 2009, as their Star Wars line that year focused on figures like the Boba Fett and Darth Vader 1/6th scale releases. If your item bears a Sideshow logo and claims to be from that year, it is likely a misidentified product, a third-party reproduction, or a counterfeit. To authenticate it, you should compare the packaging, sculpt details, and articulation points against verified images of official Sideshow releases from 2009, noting that genuine Sideshow figures typically feature high-quality paint and specific branding on the base or box.

This figure is a discontinued item, meaning it can only be purchased through the secondary market, such as online auction sites or specialty collectibles retailers.
Sideshow Collectibles does not issue official grading certificates for their statues, so you should rely on third-party grading services like Beckett Grading Services (BGS) or Professional Grading Services (PGS) if you require a standardized condition score. For a self-assessment, inspect the figure under bright, direct light to check for hairline cracks, paint chips, or discoloration, paying close attention to high-stress areas such as the joints, the blaster, and the cape. Verify that the sculpted details are sharp and that the base is free of scuffs, as these factors significantly impact the item's value and condition rating.
