Sideshow Collectibles did not release a "Stormtrooper Commander" figure in 2009, as their Star Wars product line at that time focused on specific characters like Darth Vader, Han Solo, and Boba Fett, making the item you possess likely a misidentified product, a third-party reproduction, or a misdated listing. To authenticate the item, you should examine the packaging for the specific Sideshow logo, product number, and copyright dates, then cross-reference these details with official Sideshow release archives or reputable collector databases. If the figure lacks these specific manufacturing markers or does not match any known 2009 Sideshow catalog entry, it is not an authentic Sideshow product from that year.

To condition-check a 2009 Sideshow Stormtrooper Commander, inspect the figure for common wear points such as paint chipping on the helmet and blaster, stress cracks in the plastic joints, and fading on the fabric uniform. Verify that the sculpted details remain crisp and that the eyes are free of clouding or scratches. If you require a formal market value assessment, submit the figure to a recognized third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett, as Sideshow does not issue official grading certificates for its statues.
