Common questions about the Strawberry Sour Patch Kid Pop! Candy from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Strawberry Sour Patch Kid Pop! Candy is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2019 as part of their Pop! Candy line, and it was widely available through major retail channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive release, production numbers were high, making it a common collectible today.
The Strawberry Sour Patch Kid Pop! Candy is a limited-edition promotional item from 2019, and its value is generally low, typically ranging from $5 to $15 in used condition. Because it was widely distributed as a freebie with candy purchases, it is not a rare collectible, and prices are driven primarily by the cost of shipping and the condition of the packaging.
It is not possible to definitively authenticate a specific Funko Pop! Candy item without physically inspecting the product, as counterfeiters replicate packaging and figures with increasing accuracy. You can verify authenticity by checking for the official Funko logo, the "Made in China" marking, and the correct SKU number (11) on the box, while also ensuring the figure's paint application and plastic quality match official product images. If you purchased the item from an authorized retailer, it is highly likely to be genuine, but there is no independent certification process for individual units.
The Strawberry Sour Patch Kid Pop! Candy was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Candy items, including the Strawberry Sour Patch Kid, were part of a limited production run that has been discontinued. This specific SKU is no longer in print and is not available to purchase new from Funko or authorized retailers. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Grading a Funko Pop! Candy involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, and seam lines, as well as checking the packaging for box condition, shrink wrap integrity, and any signs of tampering. Because these items are mass-produced and often sold in bulk, professional grading services like PSA or CGC may not assign a specific grade unless the item is sealed and in pristine condition, so most collectors assess value based on the presence of original packaging and the absence of visible defects. If you cannot verify the item's authenticity or condition through reliable channels, it is best to state that you cannot confirm its grade rather than speculating.
