No, the Super Sonic First Appearance Pop! Games figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2022 and remains widely available through major retailers and secondary markets.
The value of the Super Sonic First Appearance Pop! Games (SKU 877) fluctuates based on market conditions, but it typically sells for between $15 and $25 when new in box. Because this figure was released in 2022 and is not a limited edition, it is widely available, which generally keeps the resale price near or slightly below the original retail value. For the most accurate current pricing, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate your Super Sonic First Appearance Pop! Games figure, first verify that the packaging includes the official Funko logo, the correct SKU number 877, and a scannable QR code. Inspect the vinyl for consistent molding, sharp paint lines, and the specific "First Appearance" design details, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or misaligned eyes. You can also cross-reference the box art and figure proportions against official Funko product images or listings from authorized retailers to ensure accuracy.

Funko has not officially announced that the Super Sonic First Appearance Pop! Games figure (SKU 877) is discontinued, so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific SKU is often limited, and it may be out of stock at major retailers like Target, Walmart, or the Funko Shop. To purchase it new, you should check current inventory on the official Funko website or authorized retailers, as stock levels for individual game figures can fluctuate significantly.
Grading a Funko Pop! figure like the Super Sonic First Appearance (SKU 877) typically involves submitting it to a third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will evaluate the item on a 10-point scale based on factors like paint condition, seam lines, and box integrity. For a self-condition check, inspect the figure under bright light for any paint chips, scratches, or "seam lines" on the vinyl, and verify that the box is free of shelf wear, dents, or price stickers. Because the value of these items is heavily tied to their sealed state, any damage to the packaging will significantly lower the grade and market value.
