Common questions about the Superman Blackest Night Pop! Heroes from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Superman Blackest Night Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 612) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the Blackest Night wave that was widely available for purchase at retail stores and online retailers when it was in print. While specific color variants or exclusive versions might be harder to find, the standard black figure is a common collectible.
The retail value for the Funko Pop! Heroes Superman Blackest Night (SKU 612) is typically around $12.99 to $14.99 for a new, unopened figure. Because this is a standard production item from a popular series, its secondary market value generally remains close to retail price, with sealed copies rarely commanding a significant premium unless in exceptionally high demand.
Funko Pop! Heroes #612, Superman Blackest Night, is a standard production item with no unique serial numbers, so authentication relies on verifying physical details rather than a certificate of authenticity. To confirm it is genuine, check the box for a clear, high-resolution image of the figure and the correct SKU (612), and ensure the vinyl figure has a smooth finish without the rough texture or paint bleed common in counterfeits. If the item was purchased from a reputable retailer, it is highly likely to be authentic, but you can cross-reference the box design and figure proportions against official Funko product listings to rule out fakes.
The Superman Blackest Night Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 612) was released in 2010. This figure was part of the initial wave of Pop! Heroes products launched by Funko that year, coinciding with the release of the DC Comics "Blackest Night" event.
Funko has discontinued the Superman Blackest Night Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 612), so it is no longer in print. It is not available for purchase new from official Funko channels, and current listings typically consist of used or third-party inventory.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you cannot submit this item for a professional grade. To condition-check the figure, inspect it under bright light for common defects such as paint transfer, seam lines, and "pop eyes" (cloudy or uneven eyes), and verify that the head articulation is intact. For Blackest Night variants specifically, check for the presence of the green glow-in-the-dark paint on the cape and emblem, as missing glow material significantly impacts the item's value.
