Common questions about the T-Rex Pop! Movies from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the T-Rex Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1211) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production item released by Funko in 2022, and because it was widely distributed in major retail stores, it remains readily available on the secondary market at or near its original retail price.
The T-Rex Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1211) is a standard retail item that typically sells for its original retail price of around $12.00 to $15.00 when new in box. Because it is a common release from a major franchise, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and used copies generally trade for less than the retail price.
To authenticate a 2022 T-Rex Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1211), first verify that the box is sealed with a tamper-evident sticker and that the figure itself has a crisp, uniform paint job without visible mold lines or excess plastic. Check the bottom of the figure for a clear, legible copyright stamp that reads "© Funko Inc." along with the correct year and country of origin, typically "Made in China." If the packaging is missing or the figure shows signs of wear, compare the specific paint details and proportions against high-resolution images of the official 2022 release, as counterfeiters often replicate the box but fail to match the precise sculpting and paint application of the genuine item.
The T-Rex Pop! Movies was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the T-Rex Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1211), so it is no longer in print or available to purchase new from official retail channels. Collectors seeking this specific item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or other resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for individual Funko Pop! figures, so condition is typically assessed by the seller or buyer using visual inspection. You should examine the figure for common defects such as paint transfer, chipped paint, scratches, or loose joints, paying particular attention to the head and base. Since these items are mass-produced, value is largely determined by the presence of original packaging and the absence of visible flaws rather than a formal numerical grade.
