The Taika Waititi Pop! Movies figure (SKU 596) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2018 and was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels. While sealed copies may command a slight premium over loose ones, the figure is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The value of a Taika Waititi Pop! Movies figure (SKU 596) fluctuates based on condition, packaging, and market demand, so there is no single fixed price. As a common 2018 release, it typically trades for a modest amount, often below its original retail price, when sold in mint condition in its box. For the most accurate current valuation, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
To authenticate your Taika Waititi Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the box features the correct SKU number 596 and the 2018 release date, as these details confirm the specific production run. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the standard Funko logo on the base, noting that any significant paint overspray, misaligned eyes, or missing accessories would indicate a counterfeit. While there is no single definitive "authenticity mark" for this specific SKU, comparing the figure's proportions and color accuracy against high-resolution images of a verified original is the most reliable method for casual collectors.

The Taika Waititi Pop! Movies figure (SKU 596) is currently out of print and is no longer available to purchase new from Funko. As a 2018 release, it is typically only found on the secondary market through resellers, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
To condition-check a Taika Waititi Pop! Movies figure, examine the vinyl surface under bright light for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the face and hands. Verify that the figure is fully assembled with no loose joints and that the original box is free of significant damage, as the box condition significantly impacts the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though this is less common for standard vinyl collectibles compared to trading cards.
