To authenticate a Funko Pop! Television Tattoo (SKU 989), verify that the box displays the official Funko logo, the correct SKU number, and a holographic security sticker, which are standard indicators of genuine merchandise from that era. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the specific tattoo design details unique to the Television character. If the packaging lacks these security features or the figure exhibits significant manufacturing defects, it may be a counterfeit, and you can cross-reference the item against official Funko release records for the 2020 season.

Condition-checking a Tattoo Pop! Television primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, as the character is depicted with exposed skin and tattoos. You should also examine the packaging for any dents, tears, or seal damage, since the box is a significant component of the item's value. While third-party grading services like PSA can authenticate and grade the figure, most collectors perform a visual inspection under bright light to assess the overall cosmetic quality.
