Because it is a new item, its value is largely driven by current retail availability rather than scarcity.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! #152 "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, first verify the box seal is intact and check that the printed SKU on the box matches the official catalog number 152. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent color matching, sharp details, and the correct "The American Nightmare" costume elements, as counterfeiters often get the paint or proportions slightly wrong. Check the bottom of the figure for the standard Funko logo and copyright date, and ensure the plastic is smooth without rough seams or air bubbles. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, cross-reference the purchase receipt or invoice against Funko's official product listings for 2024 releases to confirm the item's origin.

To condition-check this figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, chips, or paint wear, paying close attention to the eyes, mouth, and the edges of the hair and beard. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the packaging window is free of cracks or heavy scuffing. If you intend to submit it for professional grading, ensure the box is in near-mint condition, as graders like PSA or Beckett will heavily penalize any damage to the packaging or the figure itself.
