No, the The Grabber Pop! Movies (SKU 1488) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production release from Funko's 2023 catalog, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is generally easy to find in retail stores and online marketplaces.
The 2023 Funko Pop! Movies: The Grabber (SKU 1488) is a standard retail item that typically sells for $12 to $15 in new condition. Because it is a recent release with a high production run, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price. Value generally remains stable unless the figure is sold in a sealed box with a certificate of authenticity, which may fetch a slightly higher price from collectors.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! The Grabber (SKU 1488), first verify that the box is sealed with the correct holographic sticker and that the figure is included in the standard 3.75-inch vinyl format. Check the base of the figure for a clean, molded "Funko" logo and ensure the paint application is consistent without significant bleeding or gaps, which are common signs of counterfeits. While specific internal mold details for this 2023 release are not publicly documented for consumer verification, comparing the figure's proportions and color accuracy against official Funko product images is the most reliable method for a casual buyer. If you suspect a high-value counterfeit, consulting a professional authentication service is recommended, as visual inspection alone cannot guarantee authenticity for all items.

To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold seams, and verify that the eyes and any accessories are intact and properly aligned. Check the box for damage, fading, or tampering, as the packaging condition significantly impacts the value of sealed items. For a formal grade, you must send the figure to a third-party authentication service such as PSA, Beckett, or CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on their specific grading criteria.
