Common questions about the The Humungus Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Humungus Pop! Movies (SKU 1468) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2023 that is widely available through major retailers and the secondary market. Because it was part of a general release rather than a limited edition, its value remains close to retail price.
The Humungus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1468) typically retails for approximately $12.99 USD. As a standard 3.75-inch vinyl collectible released in 2023, its secondary market value generally remains near retail price, though it may command a slight premium if found in unopened condition.
To authenticate your 2023 The Humungus Pop! (SKU 1468), first verify that the box is sealed with a tamper-evident sticker and that the product code on the box matches the code on the figure's base. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth, glossy finish, as counterfeit figures often exhibit rough edges, bleeding paint, or a matte texture. Additionally, check that the Funko logo on the base is crisp and that the packaging includes standard elements like the holographic sticker and copyright information. If the figure lacks these quality markers or the packaging appears off, it is likely a reproduction.
The The Humungus Pop! Movies was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time print status or specific discontinuation dates for individual vinyl figures. While the 2023 release year suggests it may have been superseded by newer inventory, the item is likely still available through third-party marketplaces or secondary sellers. To confirm current availability, you should check Funko's official website or authorized retailers for live stock levels.
You should inspect the figure under bright, direct light to check for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or chipped plastic, paying close attention to the eyes and the large head area. Verify that the figure is in its original, unopened box with the window intact and no signs of tampering, as this is the primary factor for maintaining resale value. For a formal grade, you can submit the sealed item to a third-party authentication service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the condition of the packaging and the figure inside.
