Common questions about the The Kraken 6" Pop! Myths from Funko (2020).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Kraken 6" Pop! Myths is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2020. While the larger 6-inch size makes it less common than standard 3.75-inch figures, it was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels at the time of release.
The Kraken 6" Pop! Myths (SKU 25) is a common Funko release from 2020, and its value is typically low, generally ranging between $5 and $10 for a sealed figure in retail condition. Because it was widely available at major retailers like Target and Walmart, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on current local stock availability, but it remains an affordable collectible.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! The Kraken, first verify that the box is sealed with the correct 2020 release date and that the figure number 25 is clearly printed on the packaging. Examine the vinyl for consistent molding, sharp paint lines, and the absence of excess flash, as counterfeit figures often exhibit blurry details or uneven color application. You should also check the base for a clean, flat finish and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and glossy. If the figure lacks these quality markers or the packaging appears off-brand, it is likely a reproduction.
The The Kraken 6" Pop! Myths was released in 2020 by Funko.
The Kraken 6" Pop! Myths is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2020 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning it can only be found on the secondary market through resellers or collectors.
To grade a Funko Pop! Myths figure, you should submit it to a professional grading service such as PSA, which will evaluate the item's condition on a scale from 1 to 10 based on factors like paint application, molding, and box integrity. For a self-condition check, inspect the vinyl for any scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, and verify that the box is free of dents, creases, or shelf wear. Since these figures are mass-produced, minor imperfections are common, so paying close attention to the eyes and fine details is essential for determining value.
