No, this figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2024 and is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. As a regular release rather than a limited edition or exclusive variant, it does not possess the scarcity factors that typically define rare collectibles.
I cannot provide a reliable specific market value for the 2024 Funko Pop! The Mind Flayer (Upside Down) SKU 1597, as collectible prices fluctuate based on condition, local demand, and whether the item is in its original packaging. To determine its current worth, you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or consult price guides such as Pop Price Guide.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! The Mind Flayer (Upside Down) with SKU 1597, first verify that the packaging is a sealed, shrink-wrapped box with the correct Funko logo and product details. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper sculpting of the tentacles, and the correct eye color, as counterfeit items often feature sloppy molding or faded colors. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box against Funko's official product listings to ensure the item matches the 2024 release specifications.
The The Mind Flayer (Upside Down) Pop! Television was released in 2024 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific print run durations or real-time production status for individual Pop! figures, so there is no official confirmation that this item is currently in print. Availability of new, sealed stock fluctuates frequently based on retailer inventory and demand, meaning it may be out of stock at major retailers even if the figure has not been officially discontinued.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so condition is assessed subjectively by collectors based on visual inspection. Key areas to check include the head for paint application and seam lines, the base for stability and scuffs, and the box for shelf wear, creases, and the presence of the original shrink wrap. Since this is a 2024 release, any significant damage is likely due to handling or storage rather than age-related degradation.
