Common questions about the The Mountain Pop! Game of Thrones from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Mountain Pop! Game of Thrones is not considered rare, as it is a standard mass-production figure from the original 2016 release of the series. Because it was widely available in retail stores and online for several years, it remains a common item in the secondary market.
The Mountain Pop! Figure (SKU 54) is a standard production item that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Its value fluctuates based on current demand and condition, but it is generally considered a common figure within the Game of Thrones line.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! The Mountain (SKU 54), verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo, a unique serial number, and a holographic sticker on the seal. Examine the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a secure base that matches the official product images. If the figure lacks these specific manufacturing markers or the box appears damaged and resealed, it may be a counterfeit, so consulting a professional authentication service is recommended for definitive verification.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific release dates for individual Pop! Vinyl figures, so the exact launch date for The Mountain (SKU 54) is not reliably documented. While this figure was part of the initial Game of Thrones wave released in 2015, precise timing within that year is not confirmed by official manufacturer records.
Funko has discontinued the production of the Game of Thrones Pop! Vinyl series, meaning the Mountain figure (SKU 54) is no longer in print. It is not available to purchase new from official Funko retail channels, and current availability is limited to the secondary market where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Funko Pop! figure, you should inspect the vinyl for surface imperfections such as scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the head, hands, and base. Verify that the eyes are properly aligned and that the figure is securely seated in its original box, as the condition of the packaging significantly impacts value. For a formal grade, submit the item to a recognized third-party authentication service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on a standardized rubric.
