Common questions about the The Penguin Pop! Heroes from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Penguin Pop! Heroes (SKU 485) is not considered a rare item. It is a standard edition figure from Funko's 2024 release, meaning it was produced in large quantities and is widely available through major retailers.
The Penguin Pop! Heroes (SKU 485) is a 2024 release, so its value is primarily driven by the secondary market for new or near-mint figures. As a relatively recent item, it typically trades close to its original retail price, with slight premiums possible if the figure is sealed or if the character is in high demand. Exact worth fluctuates with market trends, so checking current listings on platforms like eBay or StockX will give the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate your 2024 The Penguin Pop! Heroes (SKU 485), first inspect the packaging for the official Funko logo, the "Heroes" series branding, and a clear, undamaged window. Examine the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp edges, and the correct character proportions, as counterfeits often feature blurred details or off-color shading. Verify that the base is solid and the figure sits level, and check the bottom of the box for a legible SKU and batch code that matches the official 485 identifier. If the vinyl feels lightweight, has a strong chemical smell, or the box lacks the standard Funko security features, the item may be a replica.
The The Penguin Pop! Heroes was released in 2024 by Funko.
The Penguin Pop! Heroes (SKU 485) is currently out of print. While the base figure is no longer being produced, it remains available for purchase new through select third-party retailers and online marketplaces, though prices may vary depending on stock availability.
To grade a The Penguin Pop! Heroes (SKU 485), you should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint chips, scratches, or loose parts, and verify that the box is in mint condition with no dents or tears. For a formal grade, send the item to a third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and packaging's condition. Keep in mind that because this is a 2024 release, most units will likely grade in the 9-10 range if unopened, while opened figures are graded on the figure's physical state alone.
