Common questions about the The Starchild Pop! Rocks from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Starchild Pop! Rocks is not considered a rare variant. It was part of the standard 2019 Pop! Rocks production run, which typically included common, chase, and secret figures, and this specific item falls into the standard category. As a result, it is generally available on the secondary market and does not carry the scarcity premium associated with limited edition or secret releases.
The Starchild Pop! Rocks (Funko #122) is a standard production item from 2019, and its value is generally determined by current retail prices for new, unopened units. As a common release, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price, with used copies typically selling for less. Specific market value fluctuates based on condition and local demand, so checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it, and I do not have reliable information confirming that "The Starchild" is a standard Funko Pop! Rocks SKU 122 from 2019. To authenticate your figure, you should compare its packaging, font, and logo placement against verified examples from reputable resale platforms or official Funko archives, as unauthorized reproductions often exhibit poor print quality and incorrect box dimensions.
The The Starchild Pop! Rocks was released in 2019 by Funko.
The Starchild Pop! Rocks (SKU 122) is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2019 release, this item is considered out of production, meaning any remaining stock is limited to third-party resellers or private collections.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! Rocks figure like The Starchild (SKU 122) involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, as well as verifying that the clear plastic "rocks" are intact and not cloudy. You should also examine the base for scuffs and ensure the figure stands securely without wobbling. Since these are mass-produced items, they are rarely submitted to professional grading services like PSA, so value is typically determined by the presence of the original box and the overall cosmetic state of the figure.
