To grade or condition-check a Hot Toys TMS 05 Ghost Rider, first inspect the figure for common defects such as paint chips, seam lines, or loose joints, which are typical in 1/6 scale die-cast figures. Check the packaging for box condition, including corner wear, shelf wear, and whether the original seal or plastic wrap is intact, as this significantly impacts resale value. For a formal grade, send the item to a professional grading service like Beckett or PSA, which will assess the figure and box on a standardized scale, though many collectors perform a visual inspection at home by checking for dust, scratches, and articulation tightness.
