The Hot Toys TMS 18 Captain Rex is not considered rare in the current collector market. Its accessibility and moderate price point distinguish it from limited-edition or highly sought-after variants.

I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without inspecting it in person. To authenticate a Hot Toys product, you should check for the official Hot Toys logo and copyright markings on the packaging and figure, and verify that the SKU 906349 matches the official release records for the 2020 TMS 18 Captain Rex. If you purchased the item from a third-party seller, comparing the packaging details and sculpt quality against images from an authorized retailer is the most reliable method for a buyer.
The TMS 18 Captain Rex was released in 2020 by Hot Toys.
Hot Toys discontinued the TMS 18 Captain Rex figure in 2020, so it is no longer in print or available to purchase new from the manufacturer. The item is currently only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail cost.
The TMS 18 Captain Rex is a 1/6th scale collectible figure, and its value is primarily determined by its condition relative to the original retail packaging and accessories. To assess its grade, inspect the vinyl head and plastic body for visible scratches, paint transfer, or stress cracks, and verify that the included blaster, helmet, and display stand are intact and free from damage. If the figure is in its original sealed box, the condition of the packaging (such as box crush, shelf wear, or seal integrity) is a critical factor for collectors, while loose figures are graded based on the physical state of the articulation points and surface finish.
