The Hot Toys TMS 40 Captain America is a 1/6th scale collectible figure released in 2021, and its current market value typically ranges between $150 and $250 USD for a new, unopened box. Prices fluctuate based on the condition of the packaging, the presence of all included accessories, and current demand within the collector community. For a precise valuation, checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is recommended.
Hot Toys does not manufacture a product line designated as "TMS 40," which is a model number typically associated with Transformers Masterpiece figures. Consequently, a "TMS 40 Captain America" is not a recognized Hot Toys release, and the item you possess is likely a mislabeled third-party product, a counterfeit, or a confusion with a different manufacturer's catalog. To authenticate the item, you should compare its packaging and articulation points against verified images of official Hot Toys 1/6th scale Captain America figures, such as the 2012 or 2014 releases, and check for the specific Hot Toys logo and product code on the box.
The TMS 40 Captain America was released in 5-May-21 by Hot Toys.
Hot Toys typically produces its 1/6 scale figures in limited initial runs and does not keep them in continuous print. The TMS 40 Captain America, released in May 2021, is considered out of production and is no longer available to purchase new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this figure generally must look for used or pre-owned copies on the secondary market.
There is no reliable information available regarding a "TMS 40" designation for a Hot Toys Captain America figure, as Hot Toys does not use this specific numbering system for their standard 1/6 scale product lines. You should verify the exact product code on the packaging, as "TMS" typically refers to a different manufacturer or a specific third-party accessory line rather than a core Hot Toys figure. Without a confirmed product identifier, it is not possible to provide specific grading criteria for this item.
