I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it in person. To authenticate your Hot Toys TMS 40 Captain America, check for the official Hot Toys logo and copyright markings on the packaging and figure, and verify that the SKU 908266 matches the product details on the box. Be aware that the UPC provided in your query (4900000000000) is a generic test number and not a valid retail code, so you should rely on the manufacturer's official product listings and physical quality indicators like paint application and sculpt detail for verification.

Hot Toys typically produces its Movie Masterpiece Series figures in limited runs, and the TMS 40 Captain America is no longer in active production. Consequently, it is not available to buy new directly from the manufacturer or authorized retail channels. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value due to its discontinued status.
Hot Toys does not offer an official grading service for its 1:6 scale figures, so there is no standardized industry metric for condition-checking this specific item. You should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfer on the costume, hairline cracks in the sculpt, or loose joints, and compare these details against the original retail packaging and included accessories. For a formal valuation, you would need to submit the figure to a third-party grading company that specializes in action figures, though this is not a common practice for standard Hot Toys releases.
