The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hot Toys MMS85 Batman (Tactical Batsuit) is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production figure released in 2022. Being a 1/6th scale product from a major manufacturer, it was widely available through retail channels and online retailers at launch. While specific color variants or limited editions of this figure may have lower production numbers, the base model remains easily accessible in the secondary market.
The Hot Toys TMS 85 Batman (Tactical Batsuit) typically retails for approximately $150 to $180 USD when new in box. Because this is a relatively recent release, secondary market prices generally hover near the retail price, with slight premiums possible for sealed items depending on current local demand.
I cannot determine the authenticity of a specific physical item without inspecting it in person. To authenticate your Hot Toys TMS 85 Batman, verify that the packaging includes the official Hot Toys logo, a unique serial number, and a QR code that links to the manufacturer's verification database. Additionally, check for consistent paint application, high-quality sculpting, and the presence of the official Hot Toys holographic sticker on the box. If these elements are missing or the figure feels poorly constructed, it may be a counterfeit.
The TMS 85 Batman (Tactical Batsuit) was released in 2-Oct-22 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys TMS 85 Batman (Tactical Batsuit) is no longer in production and is not available for purchase as a new item from the manufacturer. It is a limited edition collectible that has been discontinued, meaning it is only available through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or private collectors.
Condition-checking a Hot Toys 1/6 scale figure like the TMS 85 Batman primarily involves inspecting the head sculpt for paint transfer, checking the joints for stress marks or looseness, and verifying that the included accessories are intact. Because this figure is a modern mass-production item, it is not typically graded by professional third-party services like PSA or Beckett, which focus on vintage toys and trading cards. For valuation purposes, the figure's value is determined by its completeness, including the original box, manual, and all interchangeable parts, rather than a formal numerical grade.
