The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Toothless with Lightning Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare, as it is a standard mass-production item from Funko's 2024 release cycle. Like most regular line items, it was widely distributed to major retail chains and online marketplaces, meaning supply remains high and it is generally easy to find in new condition.
The retail price for the Funko Pop! Toothless with Lightning (SKU 1872) is typically around $14.99 USD. As a 2024 release, its secondary market value generally hovers near or slightly below retail price, depending on current stock availability and demand. Exact resale values fluctuate, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay or StockX is recommended for the most accurate current market data.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it in person or reviewing high-resolution images of the product. To authenticate a Funko Pop! yourself, check the box for a holographic security sticker, ensure the SKU 1872 and copyright date match the official 2024 release, and inspect the figure for consistent paint application and proper articulation of the lightning effects. If the item lacks these standard manufacturing markers or the packaging appears altered, it may be a counterfeit.
The Toothless with Lightning Pop! Movies was released in 2024 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific print run sizes or definitive discontinuation dates for individual Pop! figures, so there is no official confirmation that this item is permanently out of print. However, because it is a standard 2024 release, it is likely still available for purchase through major retailers or Funko’s official website, though stock levels may fluctuate.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines and verifying that the box is free of dents, tears, or creases. For this specific 2024 release, you should also confirm that the lightning bolt accessory is intact and that the figure's eyes are properly aligned within the sockets. If you are seeking a professional grade, the figure must be submitted to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these visual factors.
