To authenticate your Sideshow Collectibles Utapau Shadow Trooper, first inspect the packaging for the Sideshow logo, the "1/6th Scale" designation, and the specific product code (typically 12015 for the 2011 release). Check the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Sideshow Collectibles branding on the base or packaging. Verify that the included accessories, such as the blaster and helmet, match the official 2011 release specifications. If the item lacks these specific identifiers or shows signs of wear inconsistent with its age, it may be a reproduction or a different variant.

The Utapau Shadow Trooper is no longer in print. It was released by Sideshow Collectibles in 2011 as a limited edition figure, meaning the manufacturer has stopped producing new units. Consequently, it is generally only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms or collector-to-collector sales.
To condition-check a Sideshow Utapau Shadow Trooper, inspect the helmet and body for paint chips, hairline cracks, or scuffs, paying close attention to the clear plastic visor and the textured armor surfaces. Verify that all joints move smoothly and that the included accessories, such as the blaster and shield, are intact and free from stress cracks. If you intend to submit the figure for professional grading, ensure the original box and any included inserts or cards are present, as graders like Beckett or CGC will evaluate the overall completeness and cosmetic condition of the entire set.
