No, the Vanessa Kensington Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2018 release of the *The Big Short* movie line, and it was widely available through major retailers. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, it remains common in the secondary market.
The value of a Vanessa Kensington Funko Pop! (SKU 645) varies significantly based on condition, with sealed boxes typically commanding a premium over loose figures. As a standard release from 2018, it generally trades in the secondary market for a modest price, often ranging between $10 and $25 for a loose figure in good condition. Prices for sealed boxes are usually higher, but exact valuations depend on current local demand and the specific state of the item.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Vanessa Kensington (SKU 645), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a smooth, matte finish and that the paint application is clean without significant bleeding or pooling. Check the bottom of the figure for the embossed "Funko" logo and the specific SKU number, which should match the 645 identifier. Additionally, inspect the packaging for the correct Funko branding, a scannable barcode, and the copyright date, as genuine 2018 releases typically feature consistent print quality and secure box seals. If the figure feels lightweight, has a rough texture, or the logo is missing, it is likely a counterfeit.

Funko discontinued the production of the Vanessa Kensington Pop! Movies figure (SKU 645) in 2018, so it is no longer in print. Consequently, it is not available to buy new from Funko or authorized retailers, and collectors must seek out used copies on the secondary market.
To grade a Vanessa Kensington Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and mold lines, paying close attention to the hair and facial features where defects are most common. Verify that the eyes are properly aligned and that the figure stands upright without wobbling, as structural integrity affects the grade. If you require a professional certification for resale value, submit the item to a recognized third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these specific condition factors.
